Research area and field of interests:

Energy efficiency, Energy planning, Renewable energy sources, Teaching Energy efficiency: my focus is energy efficiency in buildings and transport sector with special overview of energy efficiency policies towards fulfilling EU directives. This includes techno-economic studies for different measures that Croatia, as a new member state, needs to fulfil. Energy planning: with special emphasis on energy demand modeling with Croatia as a case study (PhD thesis). This includes analysis for Croatian major sectors regarding future energy policies. Analysing data through existing energy planning models like H2RES and EnergyPLAN on the supply side but also developing in-house demand side model NeD. Renewable energy sources: through past EU Intelligent Energy Europe projects my work was focused on biogas in agriculture. The work was done through feasibility studies, planning and biogas potentials calculations. Continued working in the biogas field through consultancy work and pre-feasibility and feasibility studies. Teaching: Currently I’m participating in teaching on three subjects that are currently run on the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture. Those subjects are “Introduction in Energy Management“, “Energy Management“ and “Energy planning”.
